For just over fifty years the teacher White Eagle had been showing his students how to discover within themselves the quiet places of the spirit, where in meditation they can not only find the soul-strength to cope with the problems of their own lives, but project spiritual healing to others, healing which reaches to the stresses and in harmonies in the soul which finally manifest in physical dis-ease’. Early in 1936, under the direction of White Eagle, the White Eagle Lodge in London came into being. It was to be a centre of peace and soul-healing, a spiritual home where people, exhausted by life’s problems, could receive spiritual refreshment, strength and enlightenment. From the earliest days members were trained in White Eagle’s method of thought-control and the projection of their soul-power to help the world. The Lodge was called ‘a church of the New Age’, for White Eagle’s teachings are intended to help people respond not only to the superficial mental quickening of the Aquarian Age, hut to unfold the deeper power of the living God which is locked in the heart of every man.
